RFQ preparation steps

  1. 01

    Contact and company

  2. 02

    Part requirements

  3. 03

    Drawing and inspection

  4. 04

    Review and submit

Quotation request interface

01 / Contact and buyer information

02 / Manufacturing requirements

03 / Drawings and file safety

Drawing attachment area (disabled)

Prepare your drawing formats and technical requirements. This page does not accept files.

Do not upload customer CAD, confidential drawings or personal information.

04 / Review and privacy

The real operator, privacy basis, retention schedule, cross-border processing, deletion and consent policy require verified business and legal review.

Better RFQs start with better inputs.

01

Drawings and models

Current revision, geometry and critical dimensions

02

Manufacturing conditions

Process unknown allowed, material and finishes

03

Quantity and timing

Volumes, desired dates, packaging and shipping

04

Inspection and notes

Functional tolerances and required documents

No drawing intake until the security process is verified.

01

File validation

Server-side allowlist, content and size checks

02

Private storage

Restricted object storage and access authorization

03

Malware containment

Quarantine and safe access for reviewers

04

Retention and deletion

Approved notice, retention periods and user rights

Stages in reviewing quotation requirements

  1. 01

    Secure RFQ intake

Server validation and idempotent request creation

  2. 02

    Quarantined drawings

File scanning and permissions before review

  3. 03

    Engineering review

Clarifications and assignment to real staff

  4. 04

    Conditioned quote

Pricing and schedule communicated after review

Four topics to decide before requesting a quote

01

Process feasibility

Milling, turning or other actual process support

02

Functional tolerance

Critical features and measurement method

03

Production quantity

Sample/series demand and actual MOQ policies

04

Ownership

Contract, quality, privacy and communication responsibility

What must exist before collecting personal data

  • Verified legal operator and contact
  • Approved and applicable privacy notice
  • Protected upload and restricted file access
  • Delivery, retry and admin status audit

Common RFQ preparation questions

Can I submit CAD files now?

No. File attachment, quote storage, and email delivery are not available.

Is a 3D model always mandatory?

STEP/STP often helps with complex geometry, but the accepted formats depend on the actual engineering process.

What if material or quantity is undecided?

State the intended use and identify any open requirements so they can be reviewed separately.

What should a quotation comparison include?

Compare material, volume, processing, finishing, inspection, delivery scope and timing assumptions.

Prepare the requirements before sharing sensitive drawings.
